It was a quiet night from Jiri Kulich and Isak Rosen, two Buffalo Sabres prospects who dominated in the previous two series.

Isak Rosen and Jiri Kulich may not have found twine tonight, but they once again displayed growth. Let’s start with Rosen, who knew exactly where to go on the power play, continually finding ways to get open on the right circle. It resulted in a pair of misses, but nonetheless, it shows how much trust Rosen’s teammates have put into him while on the man advantage.

If he keeps creating opportunities for himself on the power play, he’s doing his job. Shots won’t find twine every night, but they should at least come close, and Rosen made it happen on multiple occasions during the Amerks lone power play of the night.

While Kulich snapped his six-game goal streak, he did make an outstanding move early in the second period to set up a score from the blue line. Kulich initially looked as though he wanted to drive the puck through the circles, saw nothing, circled around, and hit Matt Bartkowski, who was all by himself. The defenseman did the rest and drove it home to put the Amerks up 3-0.

Kulich, Rosen, weren’t the only Buffalo Sabres prospects making things happen

Brett Murray took First Star honors in this one, and he had a remarkable goal courtesy of a quick pass from Michael Mersch. In actuality, Jeremy Davies made this one happen, as he somehow wove his way down the ice from the blue line, found Mersch, who flipped it to Murray so fast that the puck was in the back of the net before just about the entire arena knew what was happening.

Overall, it was a dominating performance from Rochester. And although our most exciting prospects of the series had rather quiet nights, they still contributed nonetheless. Let’s see if the Amerks can extend their seven-game streak to eight on Thursday night.
