We are one step closer to hockey season, as the Buffalo Sabres preseason schedule is here! Let’s check out who they will be playing.

Listen, I don’t want to rush the summer away, but we are one step closer to the 2023-24 NHL season! Today, the NHL released the preseason schedule. As they usually do, the games will begin in late September and end in early October.

The Buffalo Sabres will have seven preseason games. Buffalo has three home games and four road games, including the Kraft Hockeyville Game as they will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in St. Thomas, Ontario.

To open the preseason, Buffalo will play an afternoon game in DC for a meeting against the Washington Capitals. Two days later, Sabres fans will be able to get their first taste of hockey at home as the defending Atlantic Division champions Boston Bruins will come to town for a 7pm puck drop.

The next day, the Sabres will play Toronto in the Kraft Hockeyville Game in Ontario, the time is to be determined. Buffalo will play yet another game for the third day in a row when they hit the road to Pittsburgh for a date with the Penguins.

Buffalo Sabres preseason schedule kicks off on September 24th

They will finally have a day off before they host the Columbus Blue Jackets at 3 pm. After a few more days off, the Sabres and Blue Jackets will meet up once again, but this time in Columbus. That will be the last road preseason game they have as they will host the Penguins at KeyBank Center to close out the 2023-24 preseason.

Normally preseason games are not on television, but every now and then, there will be some games on. I’m hoping the Sabres will have at least a few games to see them on TV because I am very excited for the team this season.

With the success they had last year and all of their talented prospects, I’m hoping to see as many preseason games as I can. It all starts on September 24th!
