1 – Rasmus Dahlin

Rasmus Dahlin is yet another player who gave the Buffalo Sabres some good early returns toward the end of the 2010s, seemingly setting the stage for a successful stint in the 2020s. But it didn’t start out that way, with Dahlin posting just 23 points in 2020-21 despite playing in 56 games.

However, he turned it around quickly, scoring 53 in 80 outings in 2021-22 before snagging another 73 in 78 contests this past season, and he likely would have scored more had he not been playing through injuries. But once again, it’s not all about points production, as Dahlin is yet another player on this list who boasts an incredible two-way game.

As it stands, Dahlin is the Number 1 player of the 2020s for now. But the others on this list, along with the likes of Owen Power, Jack Quinn, and J.J. Peterka may change that if they continue or start to log stellar outings as the decade rolls along.
