In Episode 2 of the ‘One Game Buffalo Sabres Fans Should Look Forward To’ Series, Zach takes a deep dive into a highly-anticipated game for November 2023.

After the October Edition of games I’m looking forward to this season, it’s time for November. Looking at the schedule, there are some matchups that catch my eye. You have the Buffalo Sabres seeing Connor Bedard for the first time, plus a meeting with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Sabres will be seeing the Carolina Hurricanes as well. But as for my game to watch in November, it’s when the Boston Bruins will be coming to town. I have a couple of reasons why I’m looking forward to this matchup.

I think Connor Clifton will have this game circled on his calendar. As everyone is aware, the Sabres signed Clifton in free agency after he spent five seasons with Boston. While it doesn’t seem like Clifton doesn’t have anything against the B’s, I’m sure he’s looking forward to facing his old team.

We all know he’s a physical defenseman, so maybe he can send a message to his old team while also trying to get the two points for the Sabres. Another reason why I’m looking forward to this meeting is because I want to see how Buffalo does.

Going back to last year, the Sabres won one meeting out of the four games they played. And two of those were blowouts courtesy of the Bruins, one of which was at KeyBank Center. I believe Buffalo can take it to Boston this year and hopefully they can turn the tide.

Lastly, I want to see how the Bruins are. With the departures of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, they also lost key players including Taylor Hall and Tyler Bertuzzi. I still see Boston being solid but I don’t think they will be the historic team they were last season.

I know they still have Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman. But I see Buffalo taking it to the Bruins this year because of the dominance Boston has brought to the Sabres.
