Prediction! How will the Buffalo Sabres finish off the 2023-24 season?

How will the Buffalo Sabres finish the 2023-24 season? Here are Zach’s projections for the Blue and Gold in the month of April 2024.

Well, here we are. This is my final monthly record prediction for the 2023-24 Buffalo Sabres. We are past March and into the final month of the NHL regular season. With the current projected record, the Sabres will definitely be in the race for a playoff spot. But where will they be?

In the month of April, Buffalo will have seven games to play. They will host the Washington Capitals first where I got the Sabres getting the victory on home ice. A few days later, the Philadelphia Flyers will make their way into town. Once again, I got Buffalo taking this one.

Before their final home game, the Sabres will have a two game road trip. They will face off against the Detroit Red Wings for a Sunday matinee. They will win their first three games in April as I have them taking this one in overtime or a shootout.

Up next, the Dallas Stars. After a nice mini winning streak, I predict the Sabres to fall in this one. For their final home game of the regular season, the Capitals will come to town once again. Just like the first meeting in April, Buffalo gets the two points.

Buffalo Sabres finish the regular season strongly…

The final road trip of the season will take place in the state of Florida. To start the trip, the Sabres will take on the Florida Panthers. In what will be a close and competitive game, I got Buffalo taking this one in extra time.

This is it, we are at Game 82. Let’s hope it won’t be the final time fans will see the team play for the season but as for the regular season, they will close it out against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Even though I have the Sabres losing this one, they will get at least one point.

There you have it, I have the Buffalo Sabres finishing with 100 points on the season. The last time they reached that mark was the 2009-10 season. I really do expect this team to make the playoffs this year and I cannot wait to see what this season brings.
