The Buffalo Sabres remain a banged up crew heading into Week 11 with Jeff Skinner and Jordan Greenway headlining the latest injury report.
Eleven weeks into the season and the Buffalo Sabres still can’t seem to get healthy, with Jeff Skinner suffering an upper-body injury that landed him on injured reserve. However, it doesn’t mean he will miss a lot of time, and he could return at some point in Week 11.
Jordan Greenway has missed time since sustaining an upper-body injury earlier this month, and Zemgus Girgensons has been shelved since November 24th following a lower-body injury. And of course, Jack Quinn has been out all year with an Achilles injury, but there was some epic news on that front.
Latest updates on Buffalo Sabres injuries heading into Week 11 of 2023-24
It finally looks like Quinn will return tonight vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets, thanks to the following post from X.
As for Jordan Greenway, he too should return at some point in Week 11, but that won’t occur tonight, per the following post on X. Quinn should eventually help the Sabres get more consistent with the puck while Greenway’s eventual return will give the penalty kill perhaps its greatest asset back.
Jeff Skinner, who has been on injured reserve since December 14th, could also return later this week, but he will not play tonight vs. the Blue Jackets since he will need to spend at least one more day on IR. There is still no word at this point on Zemgus Girgensons’ return, so once again, expect him to miss time.
Overall, expect the Buffalo Sabres to inch even closer to full strength with Quinn and Greenway slated to find their way back onto the ice, and the imminent return of Skinner at some point between now and this Saturday. If everyone can quickly recondition themselves with live-game reps, the Blue and Gold may finally catch a break they have been lacking all season.
