The Buffalo Sabres have finally revealed their reverse retro jerseys. In this article, Here is a breakdown of the cool new jersey.
It’s been a long time coming, but the Buffalo Sabres have finally released their reverse retro jerseys. Today, all of the NHL teams did, and in my opinion, the Sabres nailed theirs.

As you can see in the Tweet above, the jerseys themselves won’t be available to buy until November 15th. But with this jersey, the Sabres now have two goathead jerseys. We already know Buffalo will be wearing the black jerseys but now they will be wearing these ones as well.
In the Tweet above, it shows the games when the team will wear them. Buffalo will wear the brand new reverse retro jerseys eight times throughout the season, five times at home and three times on the road.
My thoughts on the Buffalo Sabres reverse retro jerseys
What stands out to me the most about this jersey is obviously the goathead. I know everyone gloats about the red and black but I honestly love the blue and gold goathead. Something else about this jersey, it’s not too crazy but not too plain as well.
The sleeves look good as well with the blue and gold as it transitions into the main part of the jersey. Overall, it’s a clean look that epitomizes one of the more iconic logos and eras in team history.
And with the Sabres slated to wear the jersey for eight games, we are going to see a lot of both it and the black goathead jerseys this season. For fans who grew up watching this team in the 1990s, they will feel a healthy dose of nostalgia regardless of whether they break out the blue and gold or the black and red.
While the jersey looks good on its own, it will be even more interesting to discover what it will look like when the Sabres take the ice in it. We will find out on November 2nd, so mark those calendars. Overall Grade: B.
